Amazon Autos Launches with Hyundai: What Brands Could Join Next?

Amazon is taking quite the leap and entering the auto sales arena. The e-commerce giant has just launched Amazon Autos, a game-changing platform that’s set to transform how we buy cars.

Launched on December 10, 2024, car shoppers in 48 U.S. cities can browse, order, and finance new Hyundai vehicles right from their couch. They are also currently offering $2,300 in Amazon gift cards with any car purchase.

No more dealership haggling or paperwork headaches. It’s as easy as ordering a new set of wrenches.

The Amazon Autos Experience

Amazon Autos lets you:

– Search for your dream ride by model, trim, color, and features
– Get instant trade-in values for your current wheels
– See upfront, no-nonsense pricing
– Secure financing with a few clicks
– Schedule pickup at your local dealership

It’s all wrapped up in Amazon’s familiar, user-friendly interface. You’ll feel right at home, whether you’re shopping for spark plugs or a new Hyundai.

What’s Under the Hood?

For now, Amazon Autos is exclusively partnering with Hyundai. But don’t worry, speed demons. They’re planning to add more brands and cities next year. Soon, you’ll have a whole showroom at your fingertips.

We’re excited to have Hyundai as our exclusive launch partner and look forward to welcoming more brands and expanding our selection to customers as the program grows. It’s still early for us and we welcome customer and dealer feedback as we continue to add new functionality, expand to additional brands, and iterate on the customer experience,” Jin said.

The Dealership’s New Role

Dealers aren’t being left in the dust. Amazon Autos is giving them a new way to connect with millions of potential buyers. They can focus on what they do best: getting you behind the wheel of your new ride.

Steven Suh from South Bay Hyundai is pumped about the change. “Listing our inventory on Amazon is a game-changer,” he says. “We can reach a huge local audience and build relationships from there.”
