Why Get An IAP Certificate?

Well, why you choose to get a certificate is a personal thing.

Everyone has their own journey in life, and you may just decide you want to learn something new. Or, maybe you want to improve your work skills. Or better yet – you want to be your own boss.

But, there are other reasons you might want to get a certification as well.

  • A new credential to add to the resume that will help boost your expertise in your career
  • A feeling of pride when you complete a course
  • Certifications can help increase earnings
  • Can bring additional respect from peers and customers

These are just a few reasons an IAP certification can be a good thing for you.

Once you complete a course and get certified, they also offer some association membership opportunities. These allow you to be a part of a community of others in your certificate program so you can help each other!

What Can I Expect With An IAP Course?

Courses usually start every month and they only accept a certain number of students per course so be sure to register early! Master certificate courses are typically only offered 4 times per year since these are longer lengths.

Most classes will include the following:

  • Access to a faculty member for personal assistance
  • Career advice from the faculty member
  • Downloadable certificate when a course is completed that you can print
  • Option to order an official certificate
  • E-book
  • Access

To get the full details on each course, be sure to read the program details before signing up.

How Much Do IAP Courses Cost?

IAP has purposely made its basic certificate programs affordable keeping most prices at the $149-$189 range for a certificate.

The master certificates are $377.

You can request a refund for your course within 30 days of registration. So, if you are not happy – they offer a generous refund policy.

They do allow you to pay the course fee in two separate installments as long as you contact them to make arrangements.

They also have AMI scholarships for those students who are refugees or members of an Aboriginal, Native, or Indigenous group.

Is IAP College Legit?

I want to start off by saying, I have never personally used IAP so I do not know them personally or have any experience with them.

But, I did a ton of research to save you the time needed to find out if they are in fact a legitimate place to get career certification. Below are all the resources I could find listed in one easy place for you to dive in and see if you feel comfortable trying them out.

So, if you are looking for a way to up your skills, or maybe see if a certain career is a good fit for you, IAP is worth a try.

Getting a certificate in one of their many courses can really help you learn valuable skills that can help give you a leg up in many of the careers they offer.

Is IAP Accredited?

There are several organizations that offer accreditation processes for schools to get through to be considered “accredited”. IAP is not a true college so there is no formal accredation for them.

According to the IAP website, they are accredited by The Better Business Bureau, but nothing specific from an academic organization.

With that said, I personally do not find this to be an issue.

Accreditation is usually reserved for schools with long-term programs, not those that last a few weeks. Because these are certification programs and not actually classes, accreditation would not really be applicable.
